Cotswold Outdoor

We're delighted to welcome the renowned outdoor clothing and equipment retailer, Cotswold Outdoor, as presenting partner of the Kendal Mountain Tour.

Cotswold Outdoor believe that everyone is happier outside and that protecting the planet should be a top priority for all of us. That’s why they’ve created Our Planet - a range of products selected for their sustainability credentials - to help us make better, more sustainable choices, so we can all reduce our impact and look after the places we love. Look out for the Our Planet logo in-store and online at Cotswold Outdoor. The Our Planet range is just one of their core projects in our wider Sustainability Program.

Recycle Your Gear

Give your unwanted gear a new lease of life

Cotswold Outdoor want to be a zero-waste retailer as part of their mission is to reduce their impact on the environment. If you love the outdoors as much as they do, you’ll want to keep your kit out of landfill and give it a new lease of life. That’s why they've introduced Recycle My Gear as part of their sustainability programme. To help them do this, they’ve partnered with SOEX, the largest clothing re-wear and recycle company in the world, who offer clothing and textile collection, sorting, reuse, recycling and a redistribution network that’s committed to the very highest standards. To help everyone recycle safely and easily, they’ve placed permanent recycling stations in-store which  customers can access and use to recycle unwanted textiles.

Repair and Care

Save the planet and enjoy more time with your kit

Every mark, stain and tear tells the story of your adventures – but they can also stop your kit from performing at its best. By showing it a bit of love, having it professionally mended and washed and restoring it to its old self, your gear will stay with you for many adventures to come. Ever tried drying your down jacket or sleeping bag and realised the fluff was a lot more difficult to restore than you expected? Looking after outdoor gear is time consuming and tricky to get right, and getting it wrong can have pretty big consequences – so why not leave it to the experts at Cotswold Outdoor and utilise their repair and care service.

COTSWOLD OUTDOOR AMBASSADORS

We're delighted to welcome on tour, Cotswold Outdoor Ambassadors Helen Glover and Jamie Ramsay.

Helen Glover

After taking up rowing just four years before the London 2012 Olympics, Helen Glover (alongside Heather Stanning) won Team GB’s first gold, becoming Britain’s first female rowers to win an Olympic title. A feat which they repeated four years later, after a 50-race winning streak. After stepping away from rowing to have three children, Helen returned to the team in 2021 with the goal of being the first mother to compete for the GB Rowing Team. Helen has a passion for adventure, and has since developed skills in kayaking, mountaineering plus attempting to combine the above with motherhood!

Jamie Ramsay

Award-winning endurance adventure athlete and Cotswold Outdoor Ambassador Jamie Ramsay. Jamie has completed over 43,000km of human-powered adventuring in 31 countries and 25 different adventures. He will be sharing tales from his Atlantic to Andes cycle touring adventure. The journey started in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and passed through Paraguay before entering Bolivia and cycling over the Andes to the Salar de Uyuni and on to La Paz, covering 3700km in 28 days.
